about
Aboard the Vengeance, our archaeologist and his allies attempt to locate the weapon and destroy it, hoping that Destiny’s superior fleet and technology can ultimately prevail against Earth’s armada. However, most of his allies are cut down by Reno’s forces aboard the ship. With just him and the Earth woman he befriended left alive, and no way to get to the weapon, our archaeologist is ready to give up. But the Earth woman begs him to save his home planet, as she does not want her Earth to cause such needless deaths, no matter the cause. Using his recent experience working under Reno, he comes up with a new plan. He explains his new plan to her, says his goodbyes while professing his newfound, but short-lived, love for her, knowing this will be the last time they see each other. She finds an escape pod and ejects towards Destiny, not knowing if either of them will live or die. He makes his way to an operations control panel, hacks into the controls, and flies it into a nearby star along with the active energy weapon, which causes the star to go supernova, destroying the Earth armada and himself. Destiny is saved. Earth is saved. The Earthwoman is found on Destiny in her escape pod and she introduces herself: her name is Destiny.
